Old Pulteney 12 Year Old

The Old Pulteney 12 year old single malt was entirely aged in bourbon casks, resulting in a heavy influence of bourbon sweetness – which helps to balance the characteristic coastal salinity of the whisky. An excellent introduction to Old Pulteney. On the nose there is hints of oak, honeycomb and sweet Scottish tablet. To taste subtle white pepper coming through along with chocolate coated peanuts and citrus fruits. To finish slightly drier with the citrus hints reappearing and some toffee apples left lingering.
