Description
Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish is named after one of the islands on Loch Lomond, and forms part of the distillery’s Island Collection. Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish is aged initially in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in casks that used to hold Madeira wine. Thus resulting in a whisky that smells of fresh citrus giving way to almond marzipan and nutmeg. The palate is velvety smooth and welcoming with fruity peach notes and fig overlaid with rich butterscotch and subtle walnut. The finish is long and dry with grape, oak, and a lingering nuttiness. One of Against The Grain Scotland’s favourites.
