Description

A replica of the whisky taken to Antarctica by Sir Ernest Shackleton and his team on the Nimrod expedition of 1907-1909. In 2007 three abandoned crates were discovered buried and frozen in the Antarctic ice- this is a faithful reproduction of that whisky which inspired analysis and their effort to recreate the whisky had began. Malts from Glen Mhor and Dalmore distilleries were combined with others from Speyside and Orkney peat was used for malting in American white oak Sherry casks which creates a light honey in colour with aromas that are soft and elegant. Simply Special.
