A delicious collaboration between Macallan’s Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno and Master Perfumer Roja Dove where six different American and European barrels were used during the maturing process resulting in a celebration of unique aromas and flavourings. The 1st barrel used was an American Hudosa Butt creating smells and tastes of fresh cut oak and citrus. 2nd are Refill European and American butts creating tastes of dry, floral and vanilla. Moving onto the European Tevasa Butts/Puncheons creating rich fruit cake flavouring. American Bourbon Hogsheads gives an aroma of sweet crisp green apple and European Tevasa Hogsheads giving tastes and smells of orange and burnished oak. And finally American Bourbon Barrels giving smells of vanilla ice cream and light spices. The finish to the Edition No.3 is Long, sweet and fruity leaving a lasting impression on your senses.
